Zubereitung
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Clean and wash the goose, then pat dry with paper towels.
- Season the inside and outside of the goose with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the goose with quartered onions, apples, and orange.
- Tie the legs together with kitchen twine and tuck the wing tips under the body.
- Rub the goose with butter and place it breast side up on a roasting pan.
- Roast the goose in the preheated oven for about 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes with a mixture of red wine and chicken broth.
- Once the goose is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
